About Marin Memorial Services

History

Captain Todd Magaline began Marin Memorial Services in 1997. Captain Todd has been cruising the waters off of the Northern California Coast for over 25 years.

He started Marin Memorial Services because he wished to share his love and appreciation for this region by offering memorial at sea services aboard his beautifully refurbished vessel, the Blue Runner, berthed in Sausalito.

The Blue Runner is a newly refurbished 43' US Coast Guard certified DELTA, commonly regarded as one of the best, most stable boats ever built with fine creature comforts and the best electronics money can buy!

Meet the Captains

Captain Todd Magaline and his brother Captain Kim Magaline hail from Long Island, New York, where their passion for boating began at an early age.

After spending over 25 years boating in the San Francisco Bay, they have developed an expertise as captains with deep knowledge of these waters and iconic landmarks.

While spreading ashes at sea they are committed to providing customers with a good and memorable experience.

A standard service takes takes an hour and a half. After departing from Sausalito you and your guests will travel into the ocean just past the Golden Gate Bridge. There, the Marin Headlands offer shelter from the wind in a private setting for your ash scattering service.
